  1. What a lovely building - they grey of the granite is so natural against the trees and sky and the waters of puget sound on a cloudy day.

The drive down to Astoria sounds like it would be nice.

    1. It's perfect. On a cloudy day, it's all grey sky, grey granite, grey pavement, and muted greens.

  2. Congratulations on the wedding. I like that "art deco" typeface very much! What typewriter might I need to buy in order to get it?

    1. It's Vogue, usually found on the Royal Model P but seen on machine as late as a 1948 Quiet De Luxe.

    2. I've also seen it on a 1950's QDL and a 1950's Royal standard (HH maybe?). I think it was probably offered on machines as late as say 1955-58? It would blow my mind to see a Futura 800 with Royal Vogue on it, but I wouldn't call it completely impossible.

PS: great job on the new issue of ETC.! Got mine yesterday (:

  3. Congratulations, Nick! And I'll throw in an early Happy 1st Anniversary while I'm here. The Capitol building looks beautifully lit, I have to say. Nice.

    1. This particular one I got last July but I've been through two others in worse condition before finding this, the "just right" one.
